Setting up your account and launching your first automated trading strategy with Stoic (learn more at đ stoic.ai) is quick and straightforward.
If you haven't already, download the Stoic app from the App Store or Google Play.
đĄ Before you begin, please ensure:
Your exchange account is fully verified (KYC): Exchanges prohibit API trading on unverified accounts.
You are using a separate account: We strongly recommend using a dedicated exchange account or sub-account exclusively for Stoic. Mixing manual trading with algorithmic trading on the same balance can disrupt the algorithm and cause errors.
You hold the correct asset: The required starting asset (e.g., USDT, USDC, or BTC) depends on your chosen exchange and specific strategy.
1. Choose Your Portfolio Size
First, specify the total amount of funds you want Stoic to manage. This amount must match the trading balance you currently have (or plan to deposit) on your connected exchange account.
2. Pay the Management Fee
Pay the requested management fee to activate your account. You can pay using a credit card, PayPal, or cryptocurrency.
If paying with crypto: You will be given a unique deposit address tied specifically to your email in our database. We accept fees in supported stablecoins (like USDT or USDC).
â ď¸ Important: Send only the fee to this address. The actual capital you want Stoic to trade must remain securely in your personal exchange account!

3. Create Your Exchange API Keys
Once your fee is accepted, go to your cryptocurrency exchange (e.g., Binance, Bybit, Coinbase) and create a new set of API keys.
Ensure you grant the keys permission for Reading and Spot Trading (and Futures Trading, if your chosen strategy requires it).
đ¨ CRITICAL: NEVER enable "Withdrawals" on your API keys.

4. Connect the API to Stoic
Return to the Stoic app. The system will ask you to connect your exchange. You have two ways to do this:
Scan the QR Code: Tap the "Open camera" button and scan the API QR code displayed on your exchange screen. (Note: Make sure your Secret Key is visible on the screen when scanning, as it is only shown once right after creation).
Enter Manually: If you are setting everything up on a single device, simply copy and paste your API Key and Secret Key into the respective fields in the Stoic app.

Within 24 hours after you connect the API keys, the algorithm will analyze the market and execute its first trading session! đ

Q: Do I need to keep the Stoic app open for it to trade? A: No. Once your API is connected and the strategy is launched, the algorithm runs 24/7 on our secure cloud servers. You only need to open the app to check your portfolio's performance.
Q: Why am I getting an API connection error? A: The most common reasons are:
Your exchange account has not passed KYC verification.
You accidentally checked the "Enable Withdrawals" box.
You are trying to use an exchange or market (like Futures) that is restricted in your region.
Q: Can I add more funds after the strategy starts? A: Yes! Simply deposit the required asset into your connected exchange account, and the algorithm will automatically include the new funds in its next rebalancing cycle.
