Connecting your Binance account to Stoic is a secure and straightforward process. In the Stoic app, you have two options to connect: Auto-Connect (FastAPI) and Manually via API Key.

While Auto-Connect is faster, we recommend using the Manual connection. Setting up your API keys manually ensures a more stable connection, prevents random disconnections, and gives you total control over your security settings.
⚠️ Important Prerequisites
Check Regional Restrictions: Binance (Global) is currently restricted in several regions (e.g., parts of Europe, Canada, the UK). Please verify that Binance legally provides full services in your country of residence. (Note: US residents must use Binance.US).
Funds must NOT be in Binance Earn: Stoic can only manage funds in your Spot or Futures wallets. If your funds are locked in Binance Earn, the algorithm cannot trade them. You must turn off the "Auto-Subscribe" feature and redeem your funds to your Spot wallet before connecting.
Your funds are 100% safe: We only require permission to read your balance and create trading orders. Stoic cannot withdraw your funds.
💡 Want to run multiple Stoic strategies? If you plan to use more than one strategy, or want to hold specific coins long-term without the algorithm touching them, you MUST create a separate balance.
Option 1: Manually via API Key (Highly Recommended)
Best for: All users, Sub-Account users, and maximum stability.
Step 1: Create the API Key on Binance
Open the Binance website and log in to your Dashboard.
On the left sidebar, under the Account section, click on API Management.
Click the yellow Create API button.
Choose the System generated option and hit Next.
Give your API key a recognizable label (e.g., "Stoic API Key") and complete the security verification.

Step 2: Save Your Secret Key! Once created, your new API key will appear in the list.
🚨 CRITICAL: Copy and paste the Secret Key somewhere safe immediately. Binance only shows the Secret Key once. If you close the page, it will be hidden forever, and you will have to delete the API and start over.
Step 3: Add Trusted IPs (Do this first) If you do not whitelist IP addresses, Binance will automatically delete your API key every 90 days.
Click the Edit restrictions button (top right of your API block).
Scroll down to "IP access restrictions" and select Restrict access to trusted IPs only.
Open your Stoic app, copy the list of Stoic's IP addresses, paste them into the Binance box (separated by spaces), and press Confirm.
Step 4: Set Up Restrictions (Spot vs. Futures) The permissions you need to check depend entirely on the strategy you selected in Stoic:

A. For Spot-Only Strategies: (e.g., Fixed Income, Crypto Index) Check the Enable Spot & Margin & Stock Trading box. (Never check "Enable Withdrawals"). Click Save at the top right.
B. For Futures Strategies: (e.g., Meta, BTC Yield, Super Forcaster) Check Enable Spot & Margin & Stock Trading AND Enable Futures. Click Save.

Step 5: Connect to Stoic Return to the Stoic app. Choose "Manually via API Key", paste your API Key and Secret Key into the respective fields, and hit Connect. You are all set!

Option 2: Auto-Connect (FastAPI)
Note: This method is fast but does not support Binance Sub-accounts.
Open the Stoic app and navigate to the Connect Exchange screen.
Select the Auto-Connect tab.
Tap the blue Log in with Binance button.
You will be redirected to the Binance App or Website. Log in and simply click Continue/Confirm to authorize the trade-only integration.
Once approved, you will be redirected back to Stoic with a "Connection Successful" message.
