Connecting your Hyperliquid account to Stoic AI allows the automated strategy to manage your portfolio. Hyperliquid is a decentralized exchange (DEX), so instead of a traditional login and password, it uses your Web3 wallet (e.g., MetaMask). Special "agent wallets" (API Wallets) are created for bots.
🔒 Safety First: Stoic AI (via the API wallet) can only execute trades on your behalf. Access to withdraw funds is physically impossible. Your assets remain completely safe in your main Web3 wallet.
Step 1: Log in to the exchange and copy your address
Go to the official website app.hyperliquid.xyz.
Connect your Web3 wallet (e.g., MetaMask) to the site.
In the top right corner of the interface, click on your connected wallet address and copy it. This is your WEB3 Wallet Address, which we will need in the final step in the Stoic app.

Step 2: Navigate to API settings
2.1.In the top navigation menu, hover over the More tab to open the dropdown list.

2.2. Select API from the dropdown menu. You will be taken to the key management page (direct link: https://app.hyperliquid.xyz/API).

Step 3: Generate an API wallet
On the opened page, you will see the API wallets dashboard.

3.1. In the left text field, enter a name for the connection — for example, stoic.ai.
3.2. Click the Generate button. The exchange will automatically create a new address for you (API Wallet Address), which will appear in the adjacent field.
3.3. Once the address is generated, click the teal Authorize API Wallet button.

Step 4: Confirm creation and save the Private Key
4.1. An authorization pop-up window will appear. In the Days Valid field, be sure to click the MAX button to set the maximum active period for the key (usually 180 days).
4.2. Click the large Authorize button.
4.3. A request from your MetaMask wallet will appear on the right side of your screen (or in your browser extension). Sign the transaction to confirm the action.
⚠️ Crucial: After successful confirmation, a red box containing your Private Key will appear in the window. You must copy it right now, as you will never be able to see it again once the window is closed!

Step 5: Connect in Stoic AI
5.1. Open the Stoic AI app and go to the Hyperliquid connection screen.
5.2. Paste the copied data into the three corresponding fields:
WEB3 Wallet Address: Your main MetaMask address (which you copied in Step 1).
API Wallet Address: The generated API wallet address from Hyperliquid (copied from the exchange page).
API Wallet Private Key: Your private key from the red box.
5.3. Once you make sure all fields are filled out, click the blue Connect button.

Step 6: Successful integration
6.1. If the data is entered correctly, you will see a window saying "Hyperliquid is integrating". Click Continue ->.

6.2. Congratulations! Your Hyperliquid account is now successfully connected, and your balance along with the active strategy will appear on your Stoic portfolio dashboard.
