1. A supported exchange account
Stoic works with multiple exchanges today, including Binance, Coinbase, Bybit, KuCoin, Crypto.com, and others.
Your account must be fully verified on whichever exchange you use. Sub-accounts are supported on exchanges that offer them
Once connected, Stoic will manage the funds available in your balance based on the strategy you choose.
If you want to keep part of your funds untouched, we recommend using a separate account or sub-account for Stoic.
2. Use a dedicated account (No manual trading on the same account)
We strongly recommend connecting a separate exchange account exclusively for Stoic — not one you actively trade on yourself. Here's why:
Stoic manages your entire available balance. Any funds you don't want included should be kept in a separate account.
Manual orders you place on the same account will conflict with Stoic's rebalancing logic.
Mixing your own trades with Stoic's makes it impossible for Stoic to calculate performance and execute strategies correctly.
3. Choose your strategy
Stoic now offers multiple strategies with different risk/return profiles. Your portfolio will be managed according to the strategy you select during onboarding — no additional setup required.
4. Funds in your account
What you currently hold in your exchange account doesn't matter — Stoic will restructure your portfolio on the first day of trading to match your chosen strategy. We recommend starting with USDT, BTC, or ETH for the smoothest onboarding experience.
The portfolio value Stoic manages should match the tier you selected at setup. If Stoic detects a significantly larger balance, it may prompt you to confirm your fee tier before proceeding.
