Important Notice for European Users: Binance and MiCA Regulations

Information on why Binance services, including Futures and Spot trading via Stoic, are currently unavailable for users residing in the European Union.

Welcome to Stoic AI! We are dedicated to providing the best automated portfolio management tools (learn more at 👉 stoic.ai). However, recent European regulations have impacted which exchanges our EU customers can use.

Due to the new MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulatory framework that took effect on July 1, 2026, Binance has suspended its services for users residing in the European Union. Because Binance did not secure the required unified MiCA license in time, most trading activities for EU residents on the platform have been paused.

How this affects Stoic users:

  • Binance Global is currently unsupported for EU residents: You cannot use Binance to run any of Stoic's strategies (including Crypto Index, Fixed Income, Meta, or BTC Yield) if your Binance account is registered in an EU member state.

  • No Unverified Accounts: Binance strictly prohibits trading on unverified (non-KYC) accounts. Using VPNs to bypass geographical restrictions violates their Terms of Use and will result in account freezing.

  • Binance.US: This platform is strictly for US residents and does not offer Futures trading.

What are the alternatives? If you reside in the EU, your funds on Binance remain safe and are available for withdrawal. To continue using Stoic, we highly recommend migrating your trading capital to another supported exchange that complies with EU regulations and offers the markets you need (such as Bybit or Coinbase).

Please check our [Exchange Requirements & Minimum Balances] article to see which strategies are available on other platforms.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Are my funds safe on Binance? A: Yes, Binance has stated that EU users' assets remain secure and accessible for withdrawal. Only new sign-ups, deposits, and active trading have been restricted.

Q: Will Binance return to Europe? A: Binance has indicated they may re-apply for authorization in the EU in the future. However, there is no guaranteed timeline, so we recommend using alternative compliant exchanges in the meantime.

Q: What exchange should I use for Fixed Income or Meta if I live in Europe? A: Bybit is currently a popular alternative for EU users, but please note that some Futures restrictions may still apply depending on your specific country (e.g., the Netherlands). We advise checking your local exchange regulations and our Exchange Requirements page before migrating funds.
